thinking about the mpc 2000xl or 1k

hello 1st post and also new here and just want to say thanks and i'm glad that i found this forum ; )

i'll been using sony acid for the last 5/6 years and now on acid pro 7, i find it easy to chop samples up and stick my beat
over the top in no time at all, started out ok man but getting a little board just sitting at a computer clicking a mouse, i want to push some buttons, i've seen a few vid's on the net with people ripping out loads of breaks out on the 2000xl and it looks pretty good to have, i'm wanting to turn away from using software and make the move to hardware and sampling vinyl instead of downloading tunes, i'm looking for a machine that's easy to use but also able to push out the beats with out sounding to bad.

why not, give it a shot... both those models are good for what you want to do.

And if for some reason it isn't your thing you can get your money back for it... supposing you bought it used.

yeah i'm still thinking just can't make my mind up and then theres the price, i know that if i get the 2000xl then it will give me the understanding i need if i want to move on with the other machines, 1k i know can do more but the 2000xl looks a little bit more appealing to me : )

hey I understand that.... I find the older models more appealing, however the 2500 does look nice. The 5000 looks nice too cosmetically speaking.... but yeah the 2000xl is too the point, it is built well... sounds good... and as I always say, if you found yourself in the middle of a bar fight, would you rather be holding the 1000 or the 2000xl?

I say go with the 2000xl its die hard
