Using Midi and fruity loops?

I dont quite understand, could anybody help me?
im new to this and i have a akai mpc xr20 and a microkorg.
i've been making a lot of beats and i've been recording but i only know how to record using my webcam because i still can't figure out how to use my controllers with fruity loops.
When i hit the pads on my xr20 and my korg, it detects it but it doesnt make any sounds..
why is this??

also, whenever i try to use the plugin's that i downloaded on FL and i hit the pads it only plays the c5 note, but it doesnt play any other notes, why is this?? i want to be able to play my full korg and xr20 with a plugin and hear all of the different notes.
sorry if i sound dumb, as i said, im completely new to this and i dont know any of the terms.

Nah, just kidding. Alright grasshopper, first off, MIDI does not pass audio signals, only data such as note assigns, pitch etc. You'll need to connect the audio outs of your devices to your interface in order to hear sound.
