So iam about to by an mpc and have a few q's before i make the purchase.

1.mpcs are known for those "fat" drums, due to the converters and output amps
do you still get the same sound if you run you mpc through a daw? explain?

2.When you dump it into protools is it possible to manipulate your loops or arrangement?

3. 32nd hi hat notes, some one my fav producers (shawty redd, drumma boy) use mpcs and have those fast hi hats, how would that work?

thanks in advance!

it's just a different way to make music... sometimes doing it the mpc was is just more fun or maybe even inspiring.

now once you build your song in the mpc, you can then record the outputs into your daw... which turns it into your typical audio files that you can further chop or alter...

32nd note hats and what not can be achieved on any daw and it is a commonly heard feature on the mpc due to the note repeat button.... essentially you hold the button and a pad and you hear the pad click at what ever timing you have it set at (1/8, 1/8 triplet, up to 1/32 or even 1/32 triplet)

check some youtube videos out... if what you see maybe looks like what you would like to try and do..... get one at a good price and try it out for yourself... then if it isn't for you .... sell it to somebody else.
