how to convert alot of sample to 16 bit for my mpc 1000?

I just bought a mpc 1000 and loaded alot of samples i have had from over the past two years that were bought or free. Most of the sampled i loaded i tried to play but they would say wrong file so im guessing there the wrong sample bit. I did not know the mpc 1000 does not support 24bit and im looking to import close to 700mb in my 1g flash card but i need to know how to convert full folders of samples in one click if i can.I know there are frre software out there buy i wouldnt know were to look for what im wanting to do so any help is nice.



p.s. kinda rusty on hardware but do i need a small mixer to hear playback of the mpc and a motif in sync with each other or does the 1000 have a feature like the 2500 direct record that acts as a mixer?

Someone here mentioned iTunes. It works damn well too. Try a search, and their instructions were pretty good. I'm too lazy right now...

I was using Audacity for years but got jack of it (mainly the interface). I switched to this for batch conversion:

Lots of handy options like force stereo or mono, maintain stereo if possible.
