Hi there,
we're brand new to our MPC and we're using MPC Maid to create programs and assign samples to pads. This seems to be fine but when we hit the pads on the program on the computer they don't sound although it says they are there. Then when we drag and drop into MPC and load, the samples aren't sounding and don't appear to be loading - although the folder is there.

We're using WAV files as our samples. What are we doing wrong?

Hello
I don't know MPC Maid, but what you have to make sure is that the wav files are 16bit.
Eventually MPC Maid doesn't convert them if they are 32 bit or something.
Cheers

you can convert them with this free program called audacity,

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

they need to be cd quality, 16 bit, 44/.1

youll just open the file in audacity, then go to save as, and make sure its 16 bit 44.1 and then re load them into your mpc and you should be good to go.
