mpc1k pad velocity

Just got my 1k. I can't get the pads to respond the way I want. Have to hit them hard to get any sound. I know I can use the full level button but then its all or nothing. I tried changing the pad settings but regardless of the curve I have ti hit the pads really hard to get any sound.

Any suggestions please

Put in the effort to find out stuff for yourself, its easy.

In program mode adjust the velocity to volume setting. Its on page 67 of the pdf manual.

Try setting it to around 50... you can also use the velocity to control other things!

Never tried the fat pads, but I did copped a glow-in-the-dark green pad set and the difference is noticible. Its just as smooth as finger drumming on a wooden table. The old pads, I had to apply force from my shoulder to get the same result.

is everything else loud enough? for example when you sample is the sound level good enough...if not maybe you gotta crank up the global output setting
