Does this setup work?

Hello!
I'm about to buy a MPC 2500. Have owned a 2000xl and a 1000 before.
I also have an Ensoniq ASR-10 rack, an akai s900 and a roland jv1080 and a m-audio axiom 25.
I was just wondering if my plans for the setup will work.

Can I connect the outboard racks (asr-10, s900 and jv1080) with the MIDI outs from the 2500 (4midi outs)? Will this control the outboards? I figure it will as the mpc is the master and the outboard is the slave but here comes the real tricky part. Can I connect the m-audio midi out to the mpc2500 mini in and, via the mpc, control each outboard seperatly with the m-audio, becouse I want to use the keys on it?
If this would work it would really save me both money and space.

If this does not work how can i do the connections the best way?

yea it will work. that's exactly what the mpc is designed for. set your 'soft-thru' to 'as track' and the keyboard will change to control whichever machine is controlled by the track you have selected.
