how to syn the 2000xl in to cubase le5and reguster it as vst

cant figure out how i can synch my sequences from 2000xl into cubase le5, and also how to register 2000 xl into vst instruments

you can either use a midi cable and hit play on the mpc and hit record in cubase to transfer your sequences, or you can save the sequences as midi files on the mpc, then put those files onto your computer.

that is not 'syncing' though. its not an ipod.

you cannot register the mpc as a vst instrument. it is a hardware sampler from 1998, not a software instrument. did someone tell you that you could?

the best you could do is something like in logic called an 'external instrument' which is a midi track with an audio input.

When I put 2000xl on to a midi channel in cubase I can't no sound, I see the levels go up and down, but no sound, also can I trigger the sound off cubase with the 2000xl, also can I control cubase with the 2000xl

MIDI transmits data, not sound.

How can I play the vst instruments with the 2000xl through midi?
