Need i Ableton for Mpc 1000?

Helle i want to buy MPC 1000 but need i to buy and use this with Ableton? What kind of thing i shoul buy for my mpc ? I know about 128 MB RAM but which ram i need to buy and where i can get it? The next thing is memory card its just normal memory card i can buy or need i something special? Thanx for reply

1. You don't NEED to buy Ableton, but a DAW of some sort will probably be a good idea somewhere down the line.

2. Look in the MPC 1000 subforum for information on RAM and CF Card information.

Ableton is just an option to the workflow, maybe you need it, maybe you don't. Its like buying a car with roll-up windows or maybe you want power windows, your choice.
