MPC 2k/2kxl L+R main outs -> firewire solo balanced line inputs L+R.
Firewire solo has FW cable going into computer?!? If so firewire solo will show up on your computer daw if you have the drivers and everything loaded and correct.
Does any of your gear have a manual? Go online and find the manuals. What role do you want the mixer to play? I don't use a hardware mixer, that's why I'm asking.

Oh and don't double post, I'll delete and/or lock it.

the only reason why i posted it again so i could add better and more pictures what i wanna do is sample sounds into my mpc then record each sound individually so i can mix when i had it hooked up to protools but the sound never played back and im not familiar with protools so i didnt know how to fix my problem

i used to use a sd card to make my beats but these mpc's im using are for public use and are floppy disk readers

i just wanna be able to record it into the imac so that way i can save on to a external hard drive and mix it on logic when i get home if i dont feel like mixing there

i had it setup and when i had it open in pro tools the sound waves would come up showing it was recoring but when i went to play it back there was no sound now if i hook it up and logic (which is what im gonna try and use till i understand pro tools more ) and the interface isnt registering how do i connect it through logic i can get the wireing down its the whole going into the program logic it self and having the connection complete

Maybe you need to select the firewire device in logic as your sondcard.

I don't have logic but I'm pretty sure all daws will need you to choose the firewire device in order to use it for audio. You HAVE to dig into those menus and see stuff to configure or you will be wondering and asking on the forums forever, your choice.

Funny you say that, he's been asking this question for two years now. We helped but he keeps asking and claims be going a recording school. Not saying he's trolling because now he has pix, but damn, 2years!

I'm not lying

All you gotta do is put "2000XL and Logic 9" in the search and you'll find at least 6 or 7 threads all belonging to the OP. He even got another account-name asking the same question.

I know some people that refuse to read manuals, but this dude is hardcore

You try one interface, you've tried them all.

How far along are you? Did you get into the audio properties of logic and figure it out yet?

Firewire audio interface goes into the computer and logic will need to be configure in order to see the audio interface. Do the audio interface comes with drivers, no then go to the manufacturers website and download them. Afterwards configure the sound card you want logic to use, all daws I've messed need to be configured this way. Cable connection, drivers, configure audio in daw.

Same with your midi box in logic I'm guessing.
Cable connection, drivers, configure midi in the daw.

Did you download the manuals for each gear?

once you get your audio interface connected, go to the apple button, then properties, then audio, and you should be able to do it from there.
