kids got potential wrote:Really surprised with all the software exclusions from the REN, not to mention the bugs and stuff. am I better off just copping the flstudio alongside the trigger finger? if I do this i could save me at least 8 brownies

yeah, I would agree with that... plus, get the lifetime free updates thing. That is great, because they release updates (in the form of 9.##.##) a lot and versions every year or two.

well, I have fl and other daws like cubase, reason, etc... a bunch of pluggins and stuff... I have a bunch of mpcs and other samplers, like akai s900, x7000, mv-8000, and what ever else... some keyboards, I have a bunch of portable recorders like the zoom h4, h1, q3, etc... those are a major tool for me because I use a lot of field recordings from outside.

how about you?

meh, it's all good... you dont need all that stuff anyways. Get something like fl (like you were saying) even try out the demo until you are ready to drop cash (it wont let you save, but you can export your song as wav or mp3)... you can do anything on that pretty much. My main suggestion is to start with one thing, and dont buy anything else... once you realize that something is missing or needed, then look into getting that. Seriously... if you go out and buy a plethora of gear right off the bat, it does more harm than good.
