Hey Guys
I bought an secondhand MPD18 without any cables or box/manual, the cables aren't the problem but I don't know if need software for it. Can someone please help me out with this??

By the way sorry for any grammar or spell faults, English isn't my mother language.

You don't need to install driver software for it. It is a 'class compliant' device which just means plug and play.

Here is the link to the manual and the preset editor. The editor is good for storing more presets than the hardware can store internally.

And like you mentioned just get a USB cable.

And your post is perfect spelling and English. :)

Do you mean software to make music? Or drivers to use it as a controller with software you already have? Unless your using a much older DAW, the mpd18 should be plug and play as a controller. You'll need to goto your DAWS midi/control surface preference select the mpd18.

Another piece of information about the mpd18, if you want to use note repeat effectively you should set your software to run off the controllers midi clock. That way the softwares timing will be in sync when you use note repeat.

I like the implementation of the note repeat a lot on the mpd18, better than the MPC's.
