Hi,
I am new to the mpc world, and I've only had it for a few days, but I'm already pretty competant with it I would say, having spent a bit of time with the manual.
The problem I am having is that I uploaded a few second WAV clip of a song I wanted to sample into the mpc, loaded into the trim option, hit chop then assigned each bar to a sound I wanted on a pad. Then hit EDIT, F2 to convert to sliced samples, and then my samples are there below the sampled sound. The problem is that when I play the sound on the pad, it's really fast and high pitched. It records like this aswell, but sometimes when I play it back it sounds normal and not distorted. The original sample sounds fine also.
I was wondering if there is something I missed when chopping the sample or if there is some way to make the chopped sample sound normal on the pads and when I record?
Thanks for your help.
EDIT Ok I figured out that if I stop then play start it plays how it's supposed to, but as soon as I hit a pad with the samples assigned then it speeds up and distorts again.

Ok so I just figured out what the problem is so here is the solution in case anybody else needs it. You just turn OFF the sliders for the program you have the samples assigned to, and it should so fine. I hope this helps someone else.
