I've used the MPC since 1996...

I've been an MPC 2000 user since 1996, looking to finally incorporate a laptop into my set up for recording tracks and making the final product in the comfort of my home vs. going to a studio. I am ready to pull the trigger on the REN but these forums scare the hell out of me with all the bug talk, missing features etc. I compose multi-sampled beats from vinyl, that is the bulk of my workflow. Should I:

1--get the REN
2--get an MPD or other controller (Ableton product)
3--other options?

god prices on the used market, get adat card and wire up to your favorite DAW.

Being able to load my sound design from legacy products is very important to me.

Where you get an MPC2000 in '96?
