This is my first MPC (1000) but I have worked on various sampler / sequencers before. I've figured the thing out except for when i turn it on, without sampling a thing, the internal memory is alrady half full, leaving me only 20 seconds of sample time (mono). Do i have to erase all the programmed sounds, or reformat the MPC drive? How do i get it to max my sampling time.

Once I figure this out I'll be ready to bang away. I'm sure it's something basic I'm missing, any help would be appreciated.[/i]

ok, but I'm just wondering if it normally, straight out the box, is only gonna give you that little sample time? i know i need to max it out, obviously. but i was told it had like a minute and half of sample time to work with, like a triton, motif, and other various samplers.
