mpc ren/protools express

hey guys so i just got my protools express in the mail, because it didnt come in my renaissance box..

stupid question but, do i still need the fukkin mbox? ...

and if not ive seen how to run the ren into protools except the 'plugins' button isnt available in the protools express it looks like..

this is retarded. im confused! tried to just mess with a beat by importing the mp3 into pt express and the sound wont even work and im assuming its because i dont have an mbox? what kind of horseshit is this...
