Sampling from the turntable on mpc 1000

So my problem is everyone is telling my I need a phono preamp which has RCA inputs to connect to the turntable then into my mpc 1000.

The turn table I have doesnt have the 2 rca cables on it that others seem to have it has a head phone jack.

Does this mean that the turntable is useless? Or does the phono preamp accept a headphone jack?

What make/model is the turntable?

Any indication on the 1/4" jack/socket as to what sort of signal it is outputting? Does it say headphones, or have a headphone symbol next to it?

Its an old Yamaha turntable. It has a 2 rca connections on the back and the cable thats in the rcas has a headphone jack at the end of it. I guess I will need to just get a cable thats RCA to RCA right?

It is a phono output, it needs to go through a phono preamp before the MPC.
