Can I setup MPC Esentials to play drums on the pads, and a v

So far I figured out how to set up all the drumpads I need. I managed to load a Massive synth too, which I can play and tweak with the knobs of my MPK mini MKII.
But I can only switch between these two and play them separately, which is not what I need. Is there a way for me to set up MPC Essentials to assign the pads to the loaded samples, and assign the keys (and some or all knobs) to the vst, and play them simultaneously?
