mpc 2000xl as a midi master and korg triton le midi slave

Could anyone give me some instructions how to set up a midi sync between 2000xl and korg triton le. I intend on continuing to use the mpc sequencer but i would love to go back an forth between the triton as a trigger and the mpc asa trigger.

secondly does the triton le need to utilize sound out cables or will just the midi signals going to the mpc's output's create the sound to my stereo?

MIDI is data instruction only. Audio cannot be transmitted through MIDI devices. So you'll need some type of mixer to blend the MPC and Triton sounds together with the audio outs of each device.
