Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, so I hope I don't embarrass myself too bad.

I'm new to the MPC world and have been trying to wrap my mind around the MPC One for a week or so now. I have been going through the MPC Bible and after about 250 pages I decided to start over again just to help me re-learn the things I'd started to pick up.

I'll try to explain as best I can, but I'm new to all this so please bear with me.

For my second run through I was looking at the Q Link edit screen (not to edit them, but to take a look at the screen). I accidentally pressed the touch screen and did something (no idea what), so I hit the "reset" button on the Q link page, hoping that would take things back to normal. But when I went back to the project nothing plays, there is no sound from the headphones. I can see the events in the grid, and I can see that it is making sound, I just can't hear it. And then like a dummy I went to each page within the Q link edit and hit "reset" again thinking that would reset everything to normal, but I still couldn't hear any playback.

I opened up a couple of other projects and it worked fine, I could hear everything, no issues. Going back to the other project again, I still couldn't hear anything.

Chances are I screwed something up and hit the wrong button, but I can't make heads or tails of how anything in the Q link screen would just prevent me from hearing anything while it *looks* like everything is going properly. I did make sure that the volume was all the way up on the Q link.

If someone can help out with this I would really appreciate it. I did a search here to see if I could find any similar issues but didn't come across any. I know that I can continue to do the tutorial in another project, so it's not really a big deal because I didn't lose anything other than the tutorial (assuming I can't fix it), but I'd like to know how to fix this going forward in case I make the same mistake.

Thanks!

Maybe compare q-link settings with those projects that do work.
Take photos to compare.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.

Yeah, man. I'm learning that Undo is gonna be my best friend.

Good idea with the photos - I tried to compare by eye but was frustrated in the moment and didn't think of that. Thanks!

I got it going. I had it muted. :Sigh:

Thanks, dude. Sometimes I need to be reminded to use my noggin.
