sampling on my mpc one plus 2.11 update

So far I have an intro and verse done on the mpc. For the chorus I decided to sample the intro. The problem is that after I record my sample chop and convert to sequence in song mode and play the new sequence, the chorus plays but not the sample. It will play another instrument from a previous sequence playing the melody of the sample. What can I do to fix this problem? I have tried to select the tracks and sample on them and I’m still having the problem. However though if I go to my verse and check my tracks to see what the next empty track is and record my sample chop on the next empty track on the chorus then I don’t have that problem.
