Don't give the MPC any other file to look at. Make sure the MPC has NO CHOICE but to see the update file. That means ONLY the USB update file is on there.
If you only have 1 usb stick, no need to buy another stick, back-up your current usb stick on computer, then delete everything on it, place the update file on it, not in a folder, not zipped.
Stop getting automatically offended when you see gold letters!

Ok. So do not unzip the update. Just let the live find it as downloaded.?

Just formatted a stick.(Fat32) .Re downloaded MPC-3.4.3.12-update.img. When I open the file message says... Couldn't mount file... The disc image is corrupted.

All is good. Ignored that message on the computer. Put stick in MPC. Works. Thank you for all your help.
