Question for you seasoned MPC live performers :
what's the best way to import songs from elsewhere into an MPC3 Project that serves as a live set in order to trigger these in the Clip Matrix?
I'm relatively new in MPC world having worked in Ableton for a long time before buying a Live III and I need to bring in midi clips, stems etc from pre-existing songs (some made in the MPC Live III and some in Ableton) to a dedicated Live project in the MPC lIve III.
I use the Clip Matrix to play live so all of my songs need to end up as clips/rows in this screen and I won't be using sequences to perform.
I've seen a few ways discussed on here and YT.. eg.
-loading stems directly into the MPC live set project (being the most straight forward),
-loading Ableton Projects directly into the MPC and loading from there into new projects,
-importing midi clips to MPC sequences in the LIve Project[/list]
.. but some of these are quite clunky/time consuming and prone to bugs.
Is it best to see them as separate jobs? Eg
-Saving Program presets from one project to another
-bouncing stems and transferring from one to another
-transferring midi clips from one project to another
Or are there quicker hacks to dealing with these jobs (eg. transferring songs directly from Ableton Live, transferring from one MPC project to another via USBC )
Are these tasks best handled in the MPC 3 DAW software and then handed over to the hardware?
keen to know if anyone has refined this process since the arrival of the MPC3 os!
Thanks
