Mixer question...

I have my akai mpc 2000xl and my ensoniq asr-10 hooked up to my m-audio firewire 410 to my G5. I'm not sure if I like my set up this way or not. These two basically act as a midi controller and my internal sounds from Reason, Ableton and garage band can be played thru my akai and ensoniq. My question is if I get a mixer to connect the mpc and asr and then run that through my firewire...how many channels do I need. Im looking for a cheap mixer b/c i will do most of my editing on the imac, however i just want to have more options so I dont have to create everything in the computer.

I think a two channel will do fine.You can plug your mpc into one and the asr into the other and then go into your soundcard via firewire.Or you could always just sync the two and run them into your firewire.Assuming you don't already do this.

yea thats the setup I have now the two are synced up and run into my firewire...I'm not sure how I feel about it. Ok so a two channel is fine then I guess...thanks for the input
