My MPC is being delivered tomorrow and the first thing I would like to do is upgrade the Ram, so if anyone has any suggestions of what and where to buy I would be very interested as well

As far as I know.... which isn't a great deal (as yet
) it can only be upgraded to a max of 128mb at the minute.

Just been through this myself. Unless ya gettin the Akai memory(expensive!) you need laptop RAM SODIMM PC133 144pin 256Mb. For some technical reason you need 256megs if not using Akai's. The MPC will only read 128Mb of it. I made the mistake of ordering Kingston 128mb but had to return as needing 256. Hope this helps
let's make this official.. everybody let's agree that M.C.'s need a tissue.. The funk's my only issue..

I am thinking of doing just that...
How is it installed, kinda scared of breaking the 1000 and voiding any warranties?
thanks

If you've ever opened a computer...it's the same thing.Take out tthe screws on the face (bottom, back and sides)lift the face off and you'll see where the memory goes.Just look at the memory and line it up with the slot.Put the face and screws back on and you're ready to go.Also make sure you're grounded.
Cast in the Name of God..... Ye not Guilty.
