Studio Setup

Just got the MPC2kxl. I want to sync/connect it with:D8Bmixer;A70 kybd controller;Fostex D1624 HDR;3 sound moduels(Proteus). What midi connections do I make? I want the d8b to control the Fostex using MTC.

GUAL...Dude...No judgement on you, but what the HECK are you doing with a D8B mixer & cant hook it up with an MPC????

Trust me...this is not a diss in any way but you heading for being shot down on this here forum with greatly expensive gear & such questions.

OK...on a more 'helpful' tip.... I'd consult your D8B's manual for the pages that offer 'hook-up scenarios'...& just build your skills from thurrrr!

Sorry guys, forgive me for being inquisitive, but the manual doesn't give much info and others have encountered the same sync problems on the Mackie forum. Just wanted the input from "experienced" mpc users.

Gual...no probs, No diss intended at all....its just that myself & others were shocked....its not often we here from some one with equipment quite so advanced with what seem to be rudimentary problems.....

I'm not familiar with how advanced the D8B is but know its a powerhouse & not just some toy desk.....hence, any one with one, it would be assumed, is deep in thier knowledge of audio technology & the Hook up theory.

Keep searching tho'....any further help u need...PM me i'll ee what we can come up with.
