i mean whuts the deal if i midi thru a interface to track out my beats? can i juss hit record on the software and it start play on my mp and keyboard? iseen sumpin like that on a video,but he had a mixer that came with the software?

and i would try it but i only got one midi cable availible right now,and i gotta search 2 see how 2 set everything up

Yes.

The mixer was used maybe for channel seperation.
Maybe for volume control and EQ of each channel.
Maybe as a preamp.
