MPC 2000 XL MCD ??

When I sample a sound into the MP and I preview it, it sounds loud and crisp but when I assign it to a pad it doesn't sound as loud and crisp, I was wondering if anybody can assist me with this, thanx

Is the Full Level button on? (in other words it might just be that you aren't hitting the pads hard enough)
