Saving & Loading sounds & music

I just recently got my MPC 2000 XL. Can anyone explain to me how you save and load samples and drum patterns? I tried to save a drum pattern but when I went to load it. 2 different beats pulled up.

1. Read the manual.
2. Organise Your Files with proper names, Including yout track names. and sequences.

3. Its good to give your .ALL file da same name as your .APS file. This way there is no confusion.

Over time you will discover fast methods of naming and storing data on ya MPC.

Reading the manual is like reading the bible for the first time. Can you explain it to me step by step?

aps. file = all programs and samples
seq. file = a single sequence for example a drum pattern and a synth recorded via midi and then there's the i think it's called all. file which contains all sequences and songs.. if you dont have a manual you can get one here http://www.akaipro.com/support.html

Sorry mate i cant agree with you on that one, I just see it as if u want to get suttin sorted, u got to apply your self and not expect someone to tell u or do it for u.

Bible, Manual ...same thing really just for different things, one for life and one for MPC. both explain how to use em. Just got to apply ya self.

I have to agree with Penfold to a certain degree....If you want something bad enough you are going to go out and get it... apply yourself! but to contradict myself..I'll say this, if someone asks for help and you have the ability to help them or guide them in the right direction then do so....Penfold, obviously you have been reading the Manuals a little bit more than the Bible or getting more out of the Manuals than the Bible.. NOT TRYING TO STEP ON ANY TOES OR POINT ANY FINGERS! BUT THIS IS WHY WE HAVE A BREAKDOWN IN SOCIETY......LESS PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO HELP EACH OTHER!

I'm all about help, but, I'm not about handholding/spoonfeeding (don't mean for it to sound so inconsiderate). It's already explained in the manual. I see it as me having read the manual plenty of times, if you ask a question and I KNOW for a fact it's in the manual, then you might get grief from me cause you the questioner:

A. Didn't look
B. Didn't look hard/long enough.
C. Maybe just didn't apply yourself.
D. Expect to a basic question to be answered when fact is, like
I said it's in the manual.

No one, should have to answer the same MANUAL questions over and over. It's a freedownload. I have the link to it in my signature for people who care to follow that link. There's no reason why you (anyone who can login, post a thread) can't find a basic answer to most basic questions.

Don't mean to rant but it needs to be said over and over until more cats begin to realize that they invested the MINUTE they obtained the gear and they should do their homework.
