About 2 buy an SP 12. Can I take a drum sound from my mpc on the pads and route the pads via midi to the sp 12, dirty it up, and send it back 2 the mpc and play it on the pads? Or do I have to separately load a sound into the Sp and sync it up 2 the Mpc? Love being the stupid newbie, but any comments would be so appreciated.

Midi doesn't carry audio so your so the drums won't get the crunchy grimey sound of the sp12 doing it that way. I would tell you to do all your drum sampling in the sp then everything else in the 4000.

Just to add to what Grimy was saying.....Go from the outs' on the sp to the ins' on your mixer/mpc.

This will help you to use straight audio instead of midi data.Which will increase your workflow and things will go allot smoother.
