Using the micron as a midi controller

I think I may have wasted my money because I bought an Alesis Micron and a Tascam us-122 usb interface, thinking I could use my Micron as a midi controller for Reason. I have not been able to make this work and I'm wondering if I should return these and get an M-audio midi controller, or if there is something I'm not doing right. I've already read penfold's post about syncing the mpc 1000 with reason this is not helping me please respond.

You can use the micron to control reason. Search the forums and if you can't find the answer get in touch with a guy called djames.
