I know this is an MPC forum, but can anyone help me with this question?
I'm looking to buy an S950 sampler, but some of the ones on eBay come with external drives (like the SyQuest 44MB one) and some just have the front panel floppy drive.
Do I need an external drive? If so why?
If a drive is essential (or very useful) then are there other drives still available or with easier to get hold of disks?
Also, what are the main differences between the S950 and S900? Are the differences major ones? I'm making grimey hip-hop, which of these two do people recommend?
