Greetings MPC crew et al,
My name is Angus. From Vancouver BC. I know this sounds ****in dumb, but please bear with me.... Got a "mint" (for real, no nicks, scratches, pad wear, nothin) MPC-3000 from a crackhead for 100 bucks. Said he found it out back of a large music store up here, in the box, about 3 years ago. Anyways, the thing looks great, but Im getting NO sounds out of it at all. Now I've been around MIDI and 'puters and the like for years, but this is really tee'in me off.
So far I've got the old "11f" problem as well as the "your disc is not readable" when I've tried to load in MPC samples or programs. So, I'm basically wondering how do I get a full factory reset on this MPC so that I can start over from scratch. I know that the MPC when you buy one came with 4 discs, but I have none of them......So....any suggestions as too where I can get these discs, or how I can get this machine working with the latest OS, without having to take the 3000 in for servicing, would be greatly appreciated.
