Is there a way I can get audio from my triton actually on my mpc. I want to sync them up together. I am not sure I understand the meaning of midi, I know it is not data, but on several instructional videos I have seen, I have watched producers hook up midi outs from the triton to the in on the mpc. When they play on the triton they get audio. I want to do this without sampling the triton sounds. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Whatever video you watched was right.Use midi cables to get the Mpc and TRiton to "communicate."Mpc-out=Tri-in,Tri-out=Mpc-in.But make sure you change your drum to midi because midi is data and not audio. Now if you want to use data go from the 1/4 on the Triton into the mpc and you can use actual audio.

Welcome to the fam.

on your main screen there is also a section that says "drum-1"....scroll through this to midi, then scroll one region over and turn the option on so that the midi will be picked up. it should look like this:

midi 1A, Equip 1

for each track make sure you change the midi number so that nothing gets crossed over. ie: 2A, 3A, for each track you're using.
