NOOB 101... Tappin Out Beats???

ok ive just bought myself a mpc 1000 and my problem is when i tap out a beat & record it...when you listen to the recording the beat isnt of the same rhythm or tempo?

for example i might tap the same pad 2wice real quick but when i listen 2 it back its a lot slower to how i tapped it? Basically what im after is a recording of the exact same speed and sound of what my fingers are tapping..

can the mpc record exactly to the sound u tap out or does it have to follow some kind of tempo u set it to? if it does how do i get it 2 the way i want it?[/b]

Sync your mpc to whatever software you're usin.If your mp is set to 94 but your software is set to 120 it's gonna playback offbeat.

turn quantize off

Learn about the different quantise settings. If its playing back slower than what u "tapped" than change the quantise to the next setting. Try 1/16.

set the timing(quantise) to off like coooocooo1 says. Highlight timing,(eg timing:1/16) press open window set timing to off and and press do it. Have fun

turn that dammm time correct off.

Also when you have sync'ed the clock or set the speed etc. then listen to the click track to make sure you're hitting them as close to being 'in time' as possible.
