can some one walk me through putting samples on my mpc1000

....
im such a noob for asking some one to "hold my hand"
BUT SOME ONE HOLD MY HAND!!!

i read my manual and all, i followed the instructions, but after i plugged the ubs into my pc nothing happend,
something was auto installed into my pc and wanted me to restart the pc, so i saftly closed the usb connection.restarted, and repeated the process connecting the ubs. i saw there was now a mass storage drive on
"my computer". when i tried to open it nothing happend.
while i was on the the "ubs is conected screen" of the mpc i tried to select other otpions like, utilities and load. but nothing worked till i saftly stopped the ubs connection. as soon as i was disconected i was able to select other options on the mpc.



when ever anything goes wrong i always feel like i broke my akai.

sumthin wrong with the ubs cable maybe???

i dont think so,
it makes that noice on my pc when i plug the usb in the pc.

JAEM, since u the first to answer up hold his hand and use the
UBS cable, whatever that maybe.

so under 'my computer' you could see 'mass storage device' listed like a disk drive? and you double clicked it but it wouldn't open up?

yeah when i click it, it says to insert disk
i would insert my bonus track disc but the disc was curpted when i got it.
i'd feformat the bonus flash but it makes my mpc freeze.

if feformattin didnt work than I dont know what will.....

of course i ment reformating.....

But you did have some flash card in there, right?

no i dont have another disc to put in,

Guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but you can only transfer to and from the computer using the internal hard disk or if you have a CF card so you need to stick stuff on your CF card/hard disk and then connect it to your computer if you want to transfer to the computer and likewise, you need to have a CF card in the slot or your internal hard disk formatted if you want to dump stuff there.

I agree- that's his problem right there, no cf card. You gotta have one for this procedure.
