I have a few quick questions...I need some advice on how to go about this. I recently started interning at a professional recording studio and the dude is real cool and will let me use all his shit in due time. But for now I want to bring my work in there and make it sound professional (Because the first time I played my beats there, they sounded real hollow and empty.) He's got all compressors and effects and all the shyt a pro studio has. How would you recommend going about bringing my beats there. Tracked or untracked, figuring he also has great sound racks for me to mess with after the MIDI notes are recorded on the MPC. Here's my eqipment involved:
MPC 2000XL MCD
Cubase SL 2
Korg Wavestation SR
He has:
MPC 4000
MPC 2000XL
MPC 60
Pro Tools
A Bunch of racks, effects, and other shit I have no idea about.
I would want to bring in a CF card with all my tracks on the MPC and track it out there using his racks and shyt, but would that work? Does the 4000 even have a CF card spot and would it recognize my info from the 2000XL? Would I be better doing it through his 2000XL, if so how since I have a CF card and his doesn't. I know this is a lot, thanks for your recommendations. Peace.
