What to buy next

If you buy an M-box 2 and protools it will allow you a hole world of new posibilities. ProTools is an industry standard program for audio recording. I would recomend you drop money on that. If you buy a digi 0002 you can take advantage of all 8 outs of your MPC.

two of your best options are:

mark of the unicron (motu) 828 mk2. it's around 750. and can be used with all recording software except protools. you have to buy the software seperately though.

digidesign digi 002r. its around 1200. and can only be used with protools. and it also comes with protools le. lot of people hate, but with 7.1 coming out, it expands the tracks to 48.

do some research. google around. search music store websites for different products. also check into the recording programs to see what you need. search the forum, there's a good topic on digi vs. motu (one of my favorite to read). and READ REVIEWS! each person has different needs. good luck.

oh, and musician's friend has a free 80 gig firewire HD with the digi 002r... could save you some dough.
