Noob Intro

What's up everybody? I have been doing mad research trying to decide wich MPC I am going to get and thought I would get some opinoins from actual users. I am currently working with the 1k my studio partner owns and I'm loving it but when I see the features on the 4k...

My only reservation there is I have read many reviews about the 4k being buggy. I have also read reviews from people who swear by it. How about hearing it from actual users of the 4k? What do you think about the monster?

Any help, comments, noob hazing will be expected and appreciated.

If your suffer from Entomophobia (fear of bugs) then you should get the 2000xl. Has less features than the 4k, but it is a super-reliable machine, and has less limitations than you would think. I rarely want to do something that my 2000xl can't do.

well i had the 2000xl for 5 years and it only froze up on me about 7 times or so.
BUT
it only has about 2 minutes of sampling time and for the stuff that i write,thats not enough.
i just got the 4k and it seems fine.but only time will tell.oh and i have the 4kbplus with o.s. 1.7

another thing to think about is how many times does your computer (if you have one) do crazy ish when you write tracks/audio on that?the 4k is basically as close to a computer as you can get with the akai's.
