how do u convert your songs from an mpc 100 into mp3?

ive saved a file called survive.seq need it 2 mp3

ok then so the mpc dus'nt transfer anythin so basicly 2 get vocals ona a beat u gotta take mpc 2 every stage u go to so its a pointless bit of kit then

u need to either: get a cd recorder component, or transfer all the samples and sequences to ur computer via the usb on the back of the 1000 (i use the 2kxl so dont ask me what to do next), or record into the soundcard in ur computer as an mp3 file. good luck-- and read the manual.

you can resample it, make it a wav...you can record vocals over wav's and even burn it to a cd, or just do what the dude before me said...

but seriously, that SEQ file is an internal format for the mpc to read, its not something you could convert. It's not even an audio type file.

You need to first make a WAV file then convert it to mp3 using an 'mp3 encoder' software which you can google for free.

To make the WAV file, just record from the mpcs audio outs into your computer, or 'use internal resampling' which means, go to the mpc RECORD menu and choose MAIN OUT as the source, then hit record and playback your song.

OH NO WAIT... I see you have an mpc100, it doesn't have those features sorry.

Between the jokes, my explanation was meant to be simple.
If you can't read that, your only hope is to have someone show you in person.

non technical explanation:

play the music OUT of your mpc, through a cord INTO your computer and use a recording program to RECORD it, and save it as an mp3.

If you dont have a program search the internet, or download.com for "audacity" or "audio hijack" or "goldwave".. you should be able to figure those programs out if youve ever used a computer.

p.s. if your wondering why people got frustrated you might want to remember that this forum is a resource, and calling the MPC "worthless" because you have no idea what your talking about isn't going to make people excited to hand you knowledge.
