Any difference on 2k, 2.5k, 4k pads?

I'm considering upgrading from the 1000 to the 2500, and I hear a lot of people saying I should buy the 2000xl mcd instead - mostly because of the pads.

Now I thought all mpc pads EXCEPT 1k pads were the same?

Should be. Same size at least, but I don't know if the newer ones are better or worse or equal to the old school ones in terms of quality.

They are ALL the same except the 1000.

1. 4000
2. 2500
3. 3000
4. 2000XL
5. 2000

Never used a 60 so I cant say.

I thought they would (mine are on the way). Prolly why they're the least exspensive pads VST offers. Oh well, live and learn. Time for a dust cover for the MPC

lol yea i know man. they were pretty cheap. i was excited when i got them, but they were dusty before i got them home lol! yea but a few days later man, there's dust on them that i cant get off. maybe with some kind of cleaner, but i cant just wipe it off (since they're rubber)..

You try a VERY SLIGHTLY dampened facecloth? How about treating the rubber with a li'l (VERY VERY LI'L) bit of cooking oil? Makes rubber less grippy/hard to wipe.

I use wet facial cloth too. works great on dirty pads

I noticed that too, they already had $#!t on em out of the box.
They look sweet with my All Black 2KXL though.

yea i bet they do look nice! thanks mic pro and jacs for the tips. ill try that sometime. its not a huge problem, its just not very attractive having white spots of dust all over my pads...
