Audio Question

well i'm not familiar with the Quattro in specific, so part of this is up to you...

im saying that the Quattro is probably set to take incoming audio from its input and play it straight back the output. That's what causes your feedback problem (i think). There should be a setting to stop it from doing that.

maybe just under the 'volume controls' of your computer's operating system?

so... what ur saying is that there is no way to record the sound coming out of logic's midi channels and record it back in through audio? on any audio interface?

if you figure out how to change the setting as I suggest, you will be able to do that, without feedback. The feedback is stopping you from doing that with good sound.

if u had one of the soundcards I have owned, i could tell you exactly which setting, but honestly im too lazy to download the quattro manual or something .


Let me explain the big picture another way:: if your quattro plays a sound, it goes into the mixer, which routes it back to the quattro, and the quattro routes it back to the mixer, which routes it back to the quattro, etc etc etc.
that's why i mean feedback. Thus you need to break this chain somewhere. One way is unplugging the cable like i said.. but then u can't record into the quattro so it's a bad solution. The better solution is to set the Quattro so it doesn't echo the incoming audio back out again...

Anybody else know how to stop a Quattro from monitoring the audio inputs thru its outputs??
