modules

hey what up

iv been seeing alot of people talk about modules,,iv researched them online but im still not sure as to why you would need one if you have a MPC and your little keyboard or whatever. im sure they are good for something but i just have no clue what that is...

ok,,,,so it makes your sound more full or dirty or something?

they give you more sounds. you connect them to your gear using MIDI cables. what do you use to make beats now? some people dont even use modules. you dont need one but they're nice to have. imo

A sound module is like a sound engine. It has the same sounds as a keyboard except its a rack. So its basically the keyboard sounds minus the keys. It may have a few extras or it may lack a few. The only reason u would prolly want a module is if u already haev a set of keys or space is limited.

im useing a MPC 2000xl with a mixer and a turntable. i run that into a interface to a powerbook,,,,rite now i just record on garage band untill i can get a zip or cd rom to save beats. iv olny been at this for about 3 weeks so im not sure how to do everything rite. but i gotta say the mpc is the best thing to happen to me a while....the dude i got it from is used it whlle he toured with buring spear,,,so i feel i need to keep the bangers flowing out of it
