when tracking do you....

Track 4 bars or 8 bars and copy and paste or do you sequence the whole track in your sequencer and track the whole song.I got pro tools I want to tracks 4 bars and copy but when I track a pattern from my fantom x and play it back it doesn't loop right like the tempo is off but the tempo is correct.Anybody know what the problem is?

You may need to let a 4 bar loop ride out for 8 bars and take the last 4 bars due to the MIDI not synching up right away...just a thought

I know u are using protools but classic shows and talks about syncing. Which will give u an idea of how u can get things right in Protools or it will atleast add to your knowlegde of tracking out tracks.
