How Can I Increase The Volume Of A Sample Already On The XL?

I already have it chopped up and everything and don't want to resample it, I wanted the sample up a bit more in the track I made.. how can I go about doing that?

Man u know u cant do that, I mean u can try to change the percentage feild from 100% to 200% but that dont work to good. U got to try to turn everything else down.

did you try to normalize it?

Go to the mixer screen and change the Odb to a higher db.

go into the parameters screen for each indiviadual sample, i think its shift+program, then hit params and turn each sample up.

After 100 you don't hear a difference at all.

There is NO normalize on the xl, please don't confuse the issue.

THAT is what you'll have to do. Subtractive Gain.

How about Double the sample(assign to two diff. pads), it'll boost it +3dB.
If they trigger at the same exact time you shuoldn't get any phase issues, and also if you assign them to different pads make sure the params on both are the same as well.

Or you could track it out to a computer then effect it there.

Or you can get a compressor, or sonic maximizer and run the MP thru that.

Just a couple of ideas, they may not work in your situation though.

i can usually hear the difference. im not really hip to ''normalizing'' but that tech works for me
