popping and noises in my tracks

Ok recently my studio has gone through a lot of changes so I am having a lot of trouble figuring out how to troubleshoot and isolate an issue I'm having with quality. I'm hoping someone on here recognizes the issue.

So here's my setup...

M-Audio 1814 connected to a desktop pc via Fire Wire. Recording into Pro Tools.

Beats being made on MPC 1k and Fantom X6 keyboard.

For Vocal I use a
KSM Sure 27 Mic

The mic runs into the 1814, the MPC and Keyboard run to a Mixer (SAMSON MDR 1064) and when I record, I unplug the Right Channel on both the MPC and Keyboard and run them into the 1814 inputs 1 and 2 and record.

When I record vocals I am here these weird, digital noises, like "zip" or "vvpp".

And when I record the beeps I get little pops "pop".

It is very annoying and hard to fix (I've been laying the beat over and over, then manually chopping it together, like 15 chops per beat to get all these nasty pops out etc..) Locally the vocal problem happens less often cause that I can't fix, just gotta do it over.

Could this be related to the way my cables are run, or perhaps static electricity. I commonly get shocked in the room I am in, Im wondering if these sounds are like my equipment getting shocked causing these weird noises.

If you believe its static electricity how can I elimate that? My studio is on Pergo style flooring not carpet. So it's gotta be straight cabling right ?

You can view pictures of the cabling etc... (yes thats a bean bag / love sac, maybe thats bad? But I was thinking the floor would help?)

Yep sounds like static to me. Make sure everything is grounded, and not just grounded to eachother like the mixer to the computer case or something, but actually grounded to the ground like the third hole in the wall outlet. Make sure all your power cords and power bars have that third wall outlet hole and they are all plugged into eachother and end up in the wall.

try to record with the samsons 2t in and 2t out option, going in and out to the FW1814, if the mpc and fantom are plugged up to inputs 1thur4, hit the rec button on the mixer"flashing red light", turn on the hard disk feature on the samson, and hopefully that might solved some hum issues, i have the MDR6, and i use to get the same buzzing sound with the X6 and Mpc, i hope that helps. sometimes i think its the mixer, i play with the mixer features before going into my fast track and resolves the issue, like the man said it could be cables too, or try replugging everything on some type of ground, i hope that helps.

ur problem could be jitter u might wanna test ur gear for jitter cause thats what it sounds like well how loud are the pops and are they often oh and by the way if u dont know jitter is when ur work clock is out of sync the pops are ur work clock being in the wrong sample rate and the machine in a nother so instead of the waves meeting smoothly some are at a rarefaction when it should be at a compression

Yea that sounds right and I read something about this.

Would it be the sample rate setting in pro tools or does it sound more like a setting on my M-Audio device?

I'm still having this issue. Where are the clock settings in the MPC, perhaps I need to set it up to take clock from Pro Tools to make sure this isn't what is causing my problem? Although it does sound like it is the problem.

this is your studio? coo i like it.... one question... what kind of m-audio interfase do you have cuz imma get one and i wanna know how the sound quality is?? and is your firewire?..... well hit me up on that and how much did teh mic cost? and does it sound good (quality?)

o yeah is pro tools easy to use? well which protools version do you have?
