hey guys.

Can someone suggest a good turntable that has a built in preamp, so that I can connect it directly to the MPC 4k. one that is durable and lasts..

I want a real simple old school setup: MPC, monitors, Midi board, and computer to track out. No modules, no mixers. No Dj'ing, no vocals...

I just want to grab samples from wax and do light scratching here and there. nothing more than that...

cant think of a turntable that has built in pre-amp and is good for scratching

...but if you want to scratch you'll need a mixer anyway (which will have the pre-amp in it)

get a secondhand 1210 or 1200 and a cheap scratch mixer

The mpc 4k allows one to sample directly into its inputs correct?

if it can sample, then it should be able to record the scratches as well right?

YEP............... THE 4K Needs No Mixer..................
