I have a drum machine and a keyboard the drum machine has MIDI I/O and the keyboard has MIDI I/O/Through.Iz there a way I can get the keyboard to start playing when the chorus comes on in my drum machine automatically.Basically what I'm tryin to do is get the keys playin when the chorus begins.The instruments are a BOSS DR-880 and an Alesis Micron

You're gonna need a Sequencer of some kind to seq. Both the Drums and the Keys. And a mixer to hear both.

Can you give an example of a sequencer other than a computer program ? I do have kristal audio engine in my computer. Like hardware persay ?What do you mean to hear both ? I do have a multitrack recorder.

If you post up your COMPLETE setup when asking questions along with everything you've tried (in detail) maybe you can get more targeted help from now on, instead of just "help help", lol.

enotide has already answered your question. Unless your BOSS DR-880 has an onboard sequencer, you're going to have to get something to (as he stated), "seq. Both the Drums and the Keys." The next question you should be asking yourself is, what kind of sequencer should I get to hook up my gear.

Before I got My 2KXL, I used an Alesis MMT-8 (Multi Track MIDI Recorder).
Do a Google search to find info on them.

A Mixer (if you don't already have one) will allow you to hear both Drum machine and Keys at the same time.

Or you can Multi track them, lay down the drums, then play the Keys.
