What would be next on the gear list, apart from signal processors? a synth maybe or a analogue drum machine

If you have MPC,why do you need a drum machine ?As far as synths get the micron or ion.

Learn lots on the MPC first then think about keyboards, modules, mixers, all that other fun stuff.

you might want something to track your beats onto your computer. But not a necessity this moment. I myself need to get an audio interface.
