multi trimbal

let me start off by saying i have a mpc 2000 xl, a labtop, a keyboard controller and a turn table.. I don't have any daw or recording software on my labtop yet. my question is that if you have a multi trimbal sound modual do you need a multi trimbal keyboard also, or can i just buy a sound module and use my controller to hear more than one sound at a time.

If your soundmodule is multitambral meaning you can access more than one midi channel at the same time then you dont have to have a multitambral keyboard in order to use it. Any MIDI device will be able to control the sounds coming out of it. So basically if you have your soundmodule already then all you need is a set of keys with MIDI I/O on it and you good to go.(even a keyboard with just MIDI OUT will still work fine.)
